“Orange Colored Sky” is my homage to Wonder Woman and was the poem turned into a limited edition broadside back in June for the Center Broadsides Reading Series; it is part of my Skin Shift manuscript.
“La Ley del Deseo” and “Wrestlers Finished” are both included in The Erotic Postulate manuscript. “La Ley del Deseo” takes its title from the 1987 Pedro Almodovar film; “Wrestlers Finished” is inspired by a pen and ink wash series from the early 1920s by Duncan Grant and is a companion poem to “Wrestlers Unfinished” which is inspired by an 1899 oil on canvas by Thomas Eakins.
