London, Part Three

As I mentioned, the purpose of this little jaunt to London was for work, to visit my company’s new London Office and help train their Reception team.

Here I am at 55 Baker Street:

The building really is cool compared to the rather conservative architecture in the rather residential neighborhood surrounding it:

From another angle (those white chairs are surprisingly comfy!):

Not our terrace (the furniture had just arrived that week) but the terrace of the company one floor down:

Sally and I went shopping at Herrod’s right before I left that Friday to scope out some new fancy contemporary/modern dishware for their high-end meetings. We also went to the Dorchester one morning to see their meeting rooms and accommodations for off-sites (and they sent me home with a little Dorchester gift bag, complete with a range of men’s cosmetics!). A walk on the swankier side of London to say the least.

It was a great week in the London Office. Our employees there are so friendly and chill and the aesthetic of the office makes it a cool place to come to work every day. I was originally only supposed to spend three days with them but we quickly realized the amount of work I had to do would last longer, so I extended my trip through the end of the week so they could get a full week’s worth of my expertise. I miss everyone over there already. Here’s to building relationships across the pond!
